A responsive division and school is seen to prop up as Schools Division of Cavite City being the second division to implement DMEA through Region IV-A CALABARZON Quality Assurance Division (QAD) initiated an orientation workshop on enhancing the Division Monitoring, Evaluation and Adjustment (DMEA) Plan and Framework at One Tagaytay Hotel, September 16-17.

MEA is a mechanism that enables the region, division and school to track progress and measure the effectiveness of the programs and projects related to classroom instruction, school operations, administrative actions and processes and other activities involving stakeholders for appropriate provision of technical assistance across all levels of governance.

“For the last seven months, our SDO gave birth to many programs aligned on the Division Education Development Plan (DEDP). This activity will enable our division and schools to immediately respond to issues and concerns affecting the efficiency of program delivery” inspired Celedonio B. Balderas, Jr., the Schools Division Superintendent in the opening program.

Education program specialists and personnel of Schools Governance Operations Division (SGOD) led by Dr. Romeo S. Rosales, Chief Education Supervisor who conceptualized the orientation-workshop, education program supervisors of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) headed by Mrs. Violeta L. Francisco, Chief Education Program Supervisor, school principals and department heads took part in the orientation.

The structure of MEA System in the region, division, cluster and school, review of monitoring and evaluation system, MEA implementation and its benefits, monitoring, evaluation and adjustment (MEA) technology highlighted the workshop which directed the participants to provide immediate feedback on programs at the division and school level and improve the monitoring, evaluation and adjustment (MEA).

Dr. Elino S. Garcia, Regional Education Program Supervisor in QAD emphasized in his talk that when one respond to improve the process in the monitoring, evaluation and adjustment one should stand for the data on MEA and sit seriously to address any issue.

Meanwhile, SGOD and CID personnel initiated the reorganization of DMEA team, school principals and department heads proposed their SMEA teams, prepared action plan for school MEA and presented plans to roll out the same orientation-workshop to their respective cluster schools.

SDS Balderas added that MEA System being anchored on the Division Education Development Plan (DEDP), schools have to gather items subject for technical assistance and directed to feature on school dashboards and accomplishments relative to access and quality.

The two-day workshop aimed to share practices, experiences, issues, and concerns on MEA implementation in the division and schools, revisit and evaluate the processes and steps in its operation, present updates and reports and come-up with unified forms and tools to be used for harvesting and analyzing MEA reports.
