The Department of Education (DepEd) earlier said it is “all systems go” for school year 2019-2020.

DepEd Cavite City welcomed students with overflowing blessings from feeding to giving of school supplies from its stakeholder partners Project Teresa, Inc (PTI) and ABS – CBN Umagang Kayganda sponsors.

Prime mover Dalahican Elementary School (DES) Head Rowena S. Caraos, initiated the event thru the use of her social media by sending a message to PTI Vice- President Najalynn Superiano- Caraway to adopt DES for their feeding programs. PTI Presid

ent Terry Brito Ballesteros approved the proposal and tied up with ABS CBN Umagang Kayganda for their opening of classes TV segments not only to DES but also to Ovidio dela Rosa Elementary School (ORES).

UKG stars Pat Reyes, Martin Javier and Roxy Montealegre enjoyed feeding 300 DES pupils, as well as 60 ORES pupils, two of the lucky schools in the entire division benefitted from the feeding and gift giving program of UKG sponsors like bags, lunch bags a

nd other school stuffs.

Meanwhile, Project Teresa conducted their Annual Back to School Program and Nutritional Feeding in Ladislao Diwa Elementary School’s Sped Center for children with disabilities and DES in Cavite City.

Nutritious breakfast like fish fillet, rice and vegetables with beef treated the learners.

School supplies like notebooks, ruler, pen, pencil, crayon, writing pad also provided each classroom with manipulative/educational toys to help with student’s learning progress.

UKG distributed 840 water tumblers to all Dalahican students to help promote the school’s YES-O initiative of “No to Single Use Water Bottle.”

Project Teresa is a non-profit organization involved in various outreach, engaged in charity works and provide assistance to poverty-stricken communities. Three of their adopted schools in the Division of Cavite City are DES, ORES and LDES SpEd Center.  (Heart E. Alvarez, Editor, DO Express)
